Paddington has the postcard streets, the renovated Queenslanders and the boutique foot traffic. What it mostly does not have is standout coffee. Blackout Paddington (7.5) is the only cafe we would send you across town for. Rich and full bodied, DIBS Coffee dialled in properly. The other five sit in a tight 6.2 to 6.7 band — fine if you are passing, not worth a detour. Pretty streets, average espresso. 6 cafes reviewed, average 6.6/10.
